Door County Mushroom Co. will have all supplies available for you to start growing right away.
About Michael
Michael Marit is the founder of Door County Mushroom Company in Sturgeon Bay, where he grows gourmet mushrooms outdoors using sustainable log cultivation methods. His interest in fungi began with a curiosity about how mushrooms appear and disappear so quickly in the forest, which led him to study mushroom ecology, cultivation, and foraging. Michael is also active in the Door Peninsula Mushroom Club and enjoys teaching others about mushrooms through farm tours, workshops, and community education.
